It was the summer of 2003 and MP3.com's active message board community was heating up as well -- with flame wars.
Along came Chaz Fanaro, looking to cut through the negative noise. He began to interview many of the musical artists who pitched a tent on the popular indie music forum. Others pitched in with questions of their own. July of 2003 could have turned ugly, but thanks to the interviews blanketing the forum, it became a home for insight and mutual respect.
The forums were wiped clean by Vivendi in December, 2003. The interviews live on.

Do you program your electronic drum kits?

Hey Chaz! Chuck here, another "Chaz"!
I actually don't play drums at all! I just started recording some raw song length drum tracks so that I could use them as a song-writing tool. I thought other musicians could benefit from using the tracks as well. The name I came up with for the project was: realdrummer
To answer your question, though, NO, all drums are played live by a real human being and not programmed.

Now I'm befuddled, I thought you were a real drummer. What do you play and do you have a page under a different artist name?
realdrummer
Well, I can be confusing, that's for sure! Mainly, I play guitar, but I will fool around with most anything that makes sounds! Luckily I know quite a few incredible musicians and I always enlist their help when I am producing my material. Currently I am in an all female band (except for me!) called Blue Line Highway, and we do not yet have a web page, but we will!
I have one fully produced song on my realdrummer page. I also have a couple of collabs with Kelly Adams and Gloria Jane .

That is a lie.I saw Chuck in a battle of drums between him and Buddy Rich.Chuck blew him away.

OK, that may be true, but Buddy was drunk and had both hands tied to his chair!
